Featured in countless Movie and TV series the ever popular Pancro Mitchell Diffusion Filter is essentially a vintage diffusion filter manufactured with both artistic and modern sensibilities.

Made with a patented process from a single piece of glass and featuring a unique wave diffusion pattern, Mitchell Diffusion are the ideal choice for close-ups to flatter and soften facial imperfections. Often called the actor’s best friend, the Mitchell Diffusion Filter softens undesirable features such as freckles, blemishes, and wrinkles. It also creates a romantic ambiance by softening colors and cutting sharpness.

In operation, the Mitchell Diffusion Filter softens an image by refracting a portion of light as it passes through the filter. Whether softening facial features and colors, or cutting sharpness, the final effect on screen is always subtle and unobtrusive. Use of a filter is undetected.

Because of their beautiful, vintage look, Mitchell Diffusion is particularly useful for creating dreamy and period effect footage – having been used with great effect in productions such as The Man in The High Castle, The Social Network and the recreations of classic Hitchcock scenes in The Girl.
